This course will be aimed towards Entry 1 – Entry 3 to promote independence when planning their own trips out.
Students should be confident to carry out some written and numerical activities and to work independently and in small groups.
Course information
You will learn about how to keep yourself, others and your possessions safe, look out for hazards and come appropriately dressed for weather and type of activity.
By the end of the course, we hope that you will be able to access familiar places safely and know who to ask for help when required.
36 Weeks From September 2023 to July 2024
Courses are structured with easy to follow instructions and demonstrations. The time is split into manageable tasks with regular breaks and opportunity for social interaction. Students are encouraged to work independently and with others.
-You may be required to bring money for refreshments and activities for example Bowling.
Students will all follow a Learning Criteria delivered over the year, assessments will be through tutor lead practical, classroom based activities and observations in class.
