STUDENTS HELP SHAPE SLOUGH’S TOWN OF CULTURE 2028 BID

News overview

Students recently had the opportunity to play an active role in shaping Slough’s exciting bid for UK Town of Culture 2028.

On Friday, guest speakers Shoba and Jho from Viva.Slough visited the college to engage students in a discussion about what culture means to them. The session encouraged students to share their ideas, perspectives, and aspirations for how Slough should be represented as part of the national bid.

From local identity and diversity to creative expression and community pride, students offered valuable insights that will help inform the vision for Slough’s future as a cultural destination.

A big thank you to Shoba and Jho for inspiring such thoughtful conversations and giving students a platform to have their voices heard.
