Our Hair students enjoyed an inspiring and insightful morning as they welcomed a group of experienced industry professionals to college.
We were delighted to host Sian and Barbara from Capital Hair & Beauty, alongside Sophia Sestanovich, an award-winning TV and film hair and makeup artist. The session gave students a valuable opportunity to hear first-hand about careers within the hair and beauty industry, as well as gain insight into the skills, creativity, and dedication needed to succeed in the profession.
Throughout the morning, the guest speakers shared their personal experiences, career journeys, and advice for aspiring stylists and makeup artists. Students were able to learn more about opportunities within the industry, from salon work and professional product expertise to exciting careers in television and film.
Visits from industry professionals play an important role in helping students connect their classroom learning with real-world experiences, while also providing inspiration for their future careers.
