Course Overview

This course will be delivered on the following dates:
Thursday 16 January 2025 – Friday 17 January 2025 8:30 am – 4:00 pm (2 days)

Designed to give installers and designers the skills and knowledge required to correctly install and/or design warm water underfloor heating systems, this course has been developed with the Underfloor Heating Manufacturers’ Association (UHMA) with the intention of it being recognised as a demonstration of competence. It consists of a training/ reference manual to be read before a 2-day practical training session and completion of written assessments.

The course price includes assessment and certification and is VAT exempt.

Installation Course Training Objectives
At the end of this course the individual should be able to:
– Explain the basic principles of warm water underfloor heating (UFH) systems
– State the advantages of UFH systems
– Describe the floor systems and finishes associated with UFH systems
– State the various UFH systems types on the market
– Explain the operation of UFH systems and components
– Describe the general installation and testing requirements of UFH systems, and demonstrate an understanding of a range of manufacturer specific products
– Explain the requirements for post installation activities including:
1. Commissioning
2. System operation and maintenance
3. Troubleshooting
4. User information
