Course information
You will be coming to college for three days and within one year will be able to achieve a minimum of 5 different qualifications:
– GCSE English
– GCSE Maths
– Living and Working in the UK
– Digital Skills
– Employability skills

The qualification is 90% exam based: Paper 1 is worth 70% of the final mark and covers two non fiction texts, one seen and one unseen, and two longer writing tasks. Paper two is worth 20% of the final mark and covers a reading question based on a poem or short story and two short writing tasks. Speaking and listening is also assessed and is worth 10% of the final mark and learners complete a group discussion, an individual presentation and a paired presentation.
The course is 3 hours a week for 1 year.
Learners are encouraged to build their skills so that they can get a job, get promotion or access university.
