The course covers the following areas:
– Structure of the construction industry
– Fundamental safe working practices
– Environmental and sustainability measures in domestic dwellings
– Site preparation or working in the construction industry
– Electrical installation wiring and terminations
– Fabrication techniques for electrical installations
– Electrical science and technology

Two-thirds of this course consists of practical classes delivered by experienced tutors with a trade background in fully equipped workshops. Theory-based classes are delivered in college classrooms. Where necessary, classes are occasionally delivered virtually.
You will be assessed by a series of online multiple-choice tests and workshop practical assignments.
Level 2 City & Guilds Electric Diploma
Level 2 students are expected to find an employer to do industry placement with for the duration of two week, with the support of a dedicated college office.
