This qualification has been designed with CIPHE and the Heat Pump Association to meet the need for heating systems to be designed with a low temperature aim from the outset to maximize efficiency of the system.
The course price quoted (above) includes assessment and certification and is VAT exempt.
The objective of this qualification is for learners to be up-skilled on low temperature heating systems. It will allow them to demonstrate their knowledge and understand the need and requirements for installing low temperature heating and hot water systems in dwellings.
The qualification is aimed primarily at practising plumbers and heating engineers who already have an understanding of the fundamental requirements of central heating systems and who wish to design and install energy efficient low temperature hot water heating systems that may use heat pumps as the heat source.
Participants will gain an understanding of the importance for the correct calculation of heat loss from a dwelling when low temperature hot water heating systems are being specified and installed and how to design low temperature heating systems for dwellings that use low temperature and/or low carbon heat sources.
