Course Overview

This course will provide students with a great introduction to the motor trade and allow development and growth of industry expectations. The motor vehicle aspects of this course will be taught in the college’s workshops and technical classrooms. All students will need to take maths and English, unless they have a GSCE grade 4 that exempts them.

Those wishing to pursue careers in all aspects of the Motor Industry will benefit from this course as it will provide a good introduction to the motor trade covering a variety of roles and will cover the following units:

Course information

This course is accredited by City & Guilds (C&G) and will include practical based assessments in the workshop and knowledge-based units, using E-portfolio and includes one online exam. You will also be expected to complete a minimum of 30 hours work experience within the academic year. Final qualification is the C&G Level 1 Diploma in Transport Maintenance – Light Vehicle.
