Course information

What will I study?

The student can choose any of the following options: Manual Metal Arc- MMA ; Tungsten Inert Gas -TIG. Practical based course one, tuition is given on correct set up and correct welding skills

Duration of the course

10 weeks per option taken, one evening per week.

How will this course be delivered?

Practical workshop based training.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment includes 5 test pieces and an oral assessment on overall processes.

What qualification will I get?

Level 1 CG Award in Introductory Metal Inert Gas (MIG) Welding

Where can this course lead?

On successful completion of this course the student can further their studies on the Level 2 Welding course.
