Entry Requirements

Flame Retardant Overalls Steel toe capped boots all other equipment will be supplied by the college.

Course information

The student can choose any of the following options: Manual Metal Arc- MMA ;Metal Inert Gas MIG Practical based course one, tuition is given on correct set up and correct welding skills

10 weeks per option taken, one evening per week

Practical workshop based training.

Assessment includes 5 test pieces and an oral assessment on overall processes.

Level 1 CG Award in Introductory Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Welding

On successful completion of this course the student can further their studies on the Level 2 Welding course
