Course Overview

Improve your practical skills and be introduced to underpinning knowledge, industrial studies, machine tool systems, materials and other modules vital to mechanical/production engineering. Trainees and apprentices in their first year explore more advanced techniques and procedures.

This course builds on existing knowledge and further develops the practical skills, techniques and associated studies of trainee engineers and other personnel in mechanical/production engineering.

Course information

The programme includes: communications, work study, production, planning and control, control systems, advanced machining, advanced technology, dies and moulds, press tools, jigs and fixtures and gauge manufacture.

One year

Online sessions, classroom sessions, practical sessions.

Completion of theoretical and practical assignments.
All units are assessed by a Practical test assignment and a theory exam .
